Providing our customers with design, style and quality has been our policy since 1897, from a hand-made process factory with the latest technology.
Through hard work and humble dedication to the tile craft, ADEX products have found their way into the homes, churches and businesses of the most distinguished clients around the world. Important figures in entertainment, sports and even royalty have made ADEX part of their environment. The soft brush strokes, sophisticated colors and subtle dimensions are the culmination of more than a century of tradition and craftsmanship.
ADEX is one of the oldest, most historic factories in the tile making region of Spain. Founded in 1897 by Mr. Miguel Piñón Castelló, the original name was “El Siglo” (The Century). The tradition carried on to his son Mr. Miguel Pinon Guinot. Until the present day, the factory is located in the center of the town of Onda (Castellon).
Tiles initially were made in traditional furnaces using ancient pottery crafting techniques. Over time the glazing and artistic abilities became very sophisticated and a large section of the factory was dedicated to making hand-painted tiles and molded decorative pieces.
Established in 1897.
The artistic expertise developed over many years gained notoriety. During the 1950s hand painting skills were incorporated in the exclusive collection of tiles designed by Salvador Dali. Thanks to this effort, “El Siglo” became one of the first companies in the region to export tiles to the United States.
In 1975 D. Francisco Garcia Felipeneri focused the enterprise more purposefully on international business and the name ADEX was born. ADEX is a Spanish acronym that means “Decorative Tile Exports” . The rich family tradition continued on with the love and encouragement of Francisco’s wife Mrs. Matilde Piñón.The family’s enthusiastic dedication to the business and a clear vision of artisan tile being a viable international export propelled the business forward.
ADEX is now led by the fourth and fifth generation of passionate tile enthusiasts offering product that characterize the wisdom and heritage of more than 120 years of tradition.

CRAFTSMANSHIP
Adex tile products have been used in many high-profile installations around the world. Our tiles have covered the walls in the houses of many film celebrities and personalities from the show business world and have appeared in movies and TV serials. Our tiles may also be seen in castles and palaces throughout Europe.
